The Arab institute for occupational safety and health AIOSH

• It is an executive institution working under the Arab labor organization.
• It was established in Damascus /Syrian Arab republic, in 1983, with the aim of implementing ALO policy in the field of OSH
• The actual work started in 1985.

It aims at:

• Promotion of preventive awareness of three labor parties in Arab countries.
• Continuous developing of technical powers for bodies engaged in working environment inspection, in Arab countries.

It has several functios:

• Training
• Education and publishing
• Technical support and advice
• Collaboration and coordination

AIOSH is CIS Regional Center

In recognition of its efforts on the Arab level, AIOSH was approved as CIS Regional Center by ILO/CIS.
